Planting trees in Calvia

STUDENTS and tourists from the Calvia area will take part in reforestation events organised by Calvia Town Hall’s Environment Department.  

The purpose is to reforest those areas in Calvia which were affected by fires as well as maintain other areas already planted in recent years. 

“The aim of the exercise is to maintain the attractiveness of the landscape in the area and get back the environmental value that we lost in the fires,” said a spokesperson from the organisation. 

The first event was held Thursday 10 and pupils from Son Caliu school will be responsible for planting the trees.
