A Marbella postman has been found guilty of failing to deliver post for at least five months and later trying to burn it at home and will be jailed for two and a half years.
The postman, who a Malaga Provincial Court has also fined €4,800 and banned from public employment or office for five years, took letters home instead of delivering them between August 2013 and February 2014. He was caught trying to burn them at his home and although more than 3,500 letters were recovered there is no way of knowing how many had already burned.
