Decomposed body lay undiscovered in Spanish apartment for five years

THE DECOMPOSED body of a former 49 year own nurse has been found by workmen in an apartment the centre of Cadiz.

The nurse, an only child whose parents were deceased, was born in Cadiz in 1961 and was named by Police as Pilar M.  There was no sign of violence, but the state of decomposition means that autopsy results are needed to determine cause of death.

It’s known that the nurse left her job in 2010 because of “psychological problems”.  Police said that she hadn’t been reported missing.  Utilities for the apartment at 33 Calle Columela had been disconnected due to unpaid bills.

The deceased’s body has been taken to Cadiz’s forensic institute.
