Calahonda beach awarded flag for quality

A MIJAS beach has once again been received acknowledgement from an independent quality assessor.

This time it was Calahonda beach’s turn to receive an award, the Ecoplayas flag from ATERGUS environmental association.

Mijas is one of just three towns in Malaga Province which have been awarded Ecoplayas flags, which value conservation, tourist services and sustainability.

 “This is something everyone in Mijas should be proud of. We have the best kept natural beaches on the Costa del Sol thanks to municipal employment scheme workers who work very hard all year round to keep our coast in top condition 365 days per year,” Beaches Councillor, Angel Nozal said.
