FUN ACTIVITIES: Children get to study the animals’ behaviour.
EACH year BIOPARC Valencia organises an Expedition Africa event which runs during the school Christmas holidays.
The activity, which is aimed at children aged between five and 12 years old and for families, will run from December 23 until January 4, turning children into animal experts.
Fun and educational activities are organised throughout the period, such as helping to prepare the grounds and food for specific animals, including giraffes and hippos, porcupines and birds of prey and helping to create environmental playgrounds for animals such as the primates. Children get to study their favourite animal’s behaviour and are taught about the BIOPARC philosophy, importance of conservation and how ecosystems work.
The activities are run throughout the entire day, from 9am until 5pm, under the supervision of the park’s caretakers and the €45 entrance fee includes all the activities, materials, lunch, dinner and a diploma awarded at the end of the day, with those that participate in the two days receiving a special year pass as a Christmas gift from the park, the Pass B, which is valued at €38.
The park will be running the activity days on December 23, 28, 29 and 30 and again on January 4.
