Room at the top in Benitachell

VUELTA: Benitachell mayor, Diputacion Tourism chief Eduardo Dolon and councillors.

ALICANTE will host a time trial in next year’s Vuelta a España cycling race.

Details are unconfirmed as the Spanish sports daily, Marca, revealed that this will begin in Javea, crossing Benitachell, Teulada-Moraira, Benissa and Calpe.

Meanwhile, the ascent to Puig de la Llorença already put Benitachell on the cycling map during this year’s Vuelta with a steep climb and an exciting finish.

The route has now been marked out for cyclists and tourists in general, with a display board marking the sport where that stage of the race concluded.

I find this..Not offending but shall I say strange. The councils coffers in the local region are supplied by 50% foreign nationals.

Most of whom speak English. If this was inland I could understand it not also being in English. Not only is it not in traditional Spanish it is in Valenciano.

Great for the Spanish..But please do not ignore the money contributing other residents. Who also LIVE here.
