Alleged thieves arrested in Motril

TEN people, some with previous police records, have been arrested in Motril for allegedly carrying out burglaries at a telephone shop and a home and a number of thefts from people on the street.

National Police officers began investigating when the crimes were reported and suspected a local youth was involved. After his arrest they obtained enough information to arrest and accuse another nine local men of having taken part in the thefts and burglaries.

All 10 have been placed at the disposal of a judge.
