El Playazo.
BEACH-GOERS heading for El Playazo in Nerja found their path blocked on Tuesday (November 17) by a Local Police officer ordering them to leave the beach due to a tsunami alert.
The alert, for waves of up to 1.5 metres, was put out based on information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration following an earthquake registering 6.1 on the Richter Scale in Greece earlier in the morning. The forecast was later reduced to waves of just 20 centimetres.
