A stretch of railway in the La Harinera area of Ronda which has been sparking complaints for many years will at last be fenced off, the council has reported.
ADIF railway company has put work to fence off a 190 metre stretch between a level crossing in El Fuerte and La Harinera out to public tender, with a budget of about €60,000.
However, local residents have also requested repairs be made to a street running parallel to the line and fencing be continued as far as Olivar de las Mojas and the Almocabar district. The council replied that this is being negotiated with Adif.
