WORK IN PROGRESS: Project due to be completed before the tourist season.
WORK has begun in Avenida de Magaluf, Calvia, and Calle Eucaliptus in Peguera and is due to be completed before the tourist season.
The work was agreed in August by the mayor of Calvia at a meeting with the regional government vice-president, and also includes plans for the local Plaza de Magaluf.
Councillor for Mobility, Roads, Work and Maintenance, Juan Cuadros, said this was just the first of many projects to update areas and improve services for both residents and tourists in Calvia.
Meanwhile, Councillor for Tourism, Commerce and Urban Development, Antonio Garcia, declared that the council had promised to give the area a more modern appearance while businesses and hoteliers would improve what they have to offer.
