Stunning final touches to renovated streets

CALLE Granada in La Herradura has been given a facelift and now boasts stunning cobble mosaics.

Renovation works, which began in August, are now complete and the final touches, in the form of mosaics, are being put into place by Granada specialist company El Porras.

“They have made very interesting designs, some suggested or proposed by local residents,” Services Delegate and Deputy Mayor of La Herradura Juan Jose Ruiz Joya explained.

Works to renovate the whole of the historical centre, which started mid-April, are the most important that have been done in the last 40 years and have included replacing pipes, drains and fire hydrants, paving and cobbles.

Stage One of the project concentrated on Calles San Ramon, Blanquita, the lower area of Cuesta Peralta, Granada, Las Flores, España and Canalejas.

The councillor wished to apologise once again to local residents for any inconvenience caused by the work and thank them for their patience.
