Partaloa.

A DEVELOPER who built and sold three illegal houses in Partaloa to Britons, the former mayor and three other people have been found guilty of corrupt practice by an Almeria court.

Almeria City’s number five criminal court has found former mayor Federico Molina, councillor Enrique Montalva, former councillor Meliton Moreno and the former municipal architect guilty of corrupt practice for having issued building licences for the properties on land where no construction was permitted.

The four were each given €4 per day fines for 12 months and banned from public office for seven years, while the developer received a six month suspended jail sentence and was banned from his profession for two years.

The developer, the sentence stated, applied to build a residential complex on land in Partaloa’s Piedra Amarilla area and although fully aware that building was not permitted on the land, the council allowed construction to go ahead.

Yes pathetic but there is an interesting interview with the judge involved in the Malaya case in another newspaper and after reading that I feel there is no hope for this country at all, these people have spies everywhere to tip them off if it looks like anyone is moving towards a case against them for corruption, they have people who are ‘friends’ in the law courts, police, lawers offices… everywhere you can imagine so if their friends are the lawyers, police and the law courts then there isn’t much change of them getting any true penance is there. Apparently the only reason the Malaya case got moving forward was because the very few involved on the police and legal side actually disguised the investigation behind a closed case on the computers and discussions took place face to face and not on mobile phones so no one suspected anything and tipped people off, even at that, evidence was removed before arrests so if the lunatics are running the asylum what can anyone expect!
