Earthquake in Gibraltar
AN earthquake measuring 2.3 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Gibraltar and surrounding areas on Thursday night.
The quake has not resulted in any injuries or damage according to initial reports. The National Geographic Institute reported that the epicentre of the earthquake was registered at 22.43 on Thursday night north east of Castellar de la Frontera, on the border between the provinces of Cadiz and Malaga.
The emergency services had calls from towns including San Martin del Tesorillo, Jimena de la Frontera, Manilva and Sabinillas to report the earthquake.
