Nerja worker falls to his death

A FORTY-FOUR year-old man died in Nerja on Wednesday afternoon November 4, while working on the Pago de las Minas industrial estate.

The worker fell to his death from a crane at a height of five or six metres, for reasons, which so far remain unknown.

Emergency Services were alerted of the tragic accident at about 4.30pm. Guardia Civil, Local Police and ambulance teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. A 061 helicopter was also sent to the industrial estate but sadly nothing could be done to save the man’s life.

The police and work inspectors will investigate what caused the accident.
