ABOUT 300 people have signed a letter of complaint to Malaga City Council over the so-called Malaga Eye, a 70-metre high Ferris wheel recently set up in the port area which is causing them no end of grief.
Residents say they have to put up with the noise of repairs and maintenance tasks well into the night. They have also found that rather than enjoying the views of the city skyline, users have started peering in their windows and even taking photos and videos.
The group has asked for the council to either promise not to extend the contract that allowed the new attraction to be set up, initially for eight months, or to move it elsewhere.
“I’d like to see the mayor or the people who set it up live opposite the wheel and suffer what we’re suffering,” Pilar, one of the residents, complained.
