SPAIN will join teams from France, Ireland, Great Britain and Portugal in the international rugby 7’s tournament, being held at Elche RFC at the Campo Jose Diez Iborra on November 13 and 14.

Some of the rugby players attending the tournament are participating at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. Women’s teams are also playing with the Friday games starting at 4pm and on Saturday from 10am. Tickets cost €8 for the Friday and €12 for the Saturday or €15 for the both days. For more information and tickets contact Garry on 692 767 242 or visit the Costa Cobras training on Monday and Wednesday at Daya Vieja from 6:00pm-9.30pm or at the Zoco Sunday Market.

The Costa Cobras are also helping raise funds for DEBRA, the Butterfly Children charity, and with the help of Victoria’s Tearooms in Almoradi, international rugby memorabilia is being auctioned off at a charity event on November 19 at the tearooms, with Dennis Christian as auctioneer for the day. For more information on any of the events, or to find out more about the Costa Cobras RFC, call Garry on 692 767 242. The newest rugby club on the Costa Blanca always welcomes new players of all ages, gender and experience.

The club prides itself on being based on the true traditional ethics of the sport. The club is looking to be able to put a team in at all levels in the league this time
