PHILLIP the Pie Man has been in Benidorm for over 16 years serving up good old British favourites such as steak and kidney pies and Cornish pasties.
The shop also makes fresh baguettes, sandwiches and baked jacket potatoes. It has been open in the market for four of those 16 years and Phillip says that he is a big fan. “I love meeting all of the different people in the market and since I have been here it has definitely changed for the better.
It is very clean and there is a lot of choice.” Phillip typically gets British customers, looking for the taste of England, but notices that they love the market in general. Many people come in asking for the paper. He said: “The Euro Weekly News does a great job promoting the market, and many people come in asking for the paper, to sit and have a read while they enjoy a pie or pasty!”
