IN the early morning of Thursday October 29, residents living on the northern Costa Brava felt a seaquake measuring 4.1 degrees on the Ritcher scale.
It was felt through Girona province in the Alto Ampurdán district, especially in Rosas, Figueras and Empuriabrava towns.
The quake was registered for 10 seconds at 1:37 am, six kilometers below the seabed, according to Local Police in Empurlabrava. No property damage or personal injuries have been reported.
Residents woke up in panic when the ground began to shake and called the emergency hotline 112.
