MANILVA’S parish cemetery has once again suffered the effects of bad weather and its back wall has collapsed and the council has stepped in to insist repair work is done urgently.
Being a parish cemetery, the bishopric is responsible for maintenance, and representatives of the two entities will be meeting to reach an agreement and get the job done.
Municipal technicians inspected the damage and estimated that work to remove the rubble and build new walls should take about two weeks.
