FACEBOOK proved to be the downfall of a Malaga City man suspected of being behind a recent wave of thefts and sexual attacks in garages in the city’s Teatinos district.
Posting a selfie of himself in a lift on Facebook, the suspect failed to realise the police would use the lift’s serial number to track down his location.
“Nowadays we rely on people using mobile phones and while using them they forget to pay attention to other things,” said Malaga provincial police chief Pedro Garijo after the arrest.
