JUST before midnight on Thursday October 22 three people were shot at Tennessee State University in the US and one of the victims has now been confirmed dead.

Nashville’s emergency communication centre confirmed the time of the incident. The police have indicated that the shooting started after an apparent argument over a dice game.

Tanya Stone of the Metro Nashville Police Department said that the wounded were taken to hospital.

Details are not yet clear regarding the condition of the other victims.

The police have not released information on whether or not those involved are students or if the shooter is in custody.

Three people were injured by gunfire at a party outside the university campus grounds just across the street from the college last week.

This is the latest shooting incident in the US and it comes just weeks after Chris Mercer murdered nine people at a university campus in Roseburg, Oregon.
