NINETEEN different companies have presented quotes to build an underground car park in Estepona’s historical centre, the council has reported.
The car park, which will be built under Plaza Antonia Guerrero, will create about 100 parking spaces for local residents and visitors to use at a token price of €1 per day and will be the first in a council project aimed to create around 1,000 cheap parking spaces in busy parts of the town.
Although there is an initial budget of €2.3 million, the work contract will be awarded to the company that offers the cheapest price while providing everything included in conditions and meeting technical guarantees, the council explained.
