Princess Royal to visit Gibraltar in 2016

IN an announcement bound to delight Gibraltarians and irritate the Spanish Government, Chief Minister Fabian Picardo announced at the Gibraltar reception at the Guildhall in London that the Princess Royal had agreed to become the Patron of the Gibraltar Literary Festival 2016 and intended to visit Gibraltar.

During his speech, he also paid tribute to those who had been evacuated during the Second World War, who he said had laid the foundations for what Gibraltar was today and confirmed his support for the British Government campaign to remain with the EU.
