A RECENTLY published book containing 100 great masterpieces owned by Scotland’s national galleries has included a painting of actor Alan Cumming by Christian Hook, the artist from Gibraltar who became Sky Arts Artist of the year 2014.
The galleries had literally thousands of paintings to choose from and he now finds his work alongside those of Picasso, Matisse, Rembrandt and Warhol which must be considered a fantastic achievement for the art teacher and lecturer from Gibraltar.
In 2015, he was commissioned by Sky Arts to paint singer Mick Hucknall, footballer Fabrice Muamba and actress Sue Johnston and currently has a solo exhibition at the Clarendon Fine Art Gallery in Mayfair.
