GET your leather on and your heads banging as Albox celebrates the Rock Albox Festival, all for a good cause.
This is one of the longest-standing musical events in the Province of Almeria, as it celebrates its 31st edition. It will take place on October 24 at the town’s fairground. Doors will open at 8.30pm and, half an hour later, Lorca group, Debaho Band will be in charge of turning up the volume. At around 10.15pm, it will be the turn of MHP, followed by a group from Extramadura, Kaxta. They will be followed by No Konforme (at 1.30am) and by Txulapos Muertos (3.45am), who will close the performances.
The festival was organised by the association RockAlbox with collaboration and funding from Albox Council.
The event is very well known in Spain and there has even been a camping site made available for those coming from out of town, as well as a large car park.
Tickets are €5, which includes a beer, with all proceeds going to AECC (Spanish Association Against Cancer).
Two buses will also be made available from Aguillas (with stops in Pulpi and Cuevas de Almanzora), with a second one coming from Lorca, which will stop in Puerto Lumbreas and Huercal Overa.
Those interested can buy tickets at the Albox Municipal Sports Pavilion, Café Laberinto, Salon Nayade in Garrucha and the Santa Fe Sport Bar in Lorca.
“We have made a great effort to collaborate with this festival and we could not disappoint its most faithful followers,” said Culture Councillor, Aurora Cerdan, who continued: “We hope that this edition will be attractive for the audience and especially that they will collaborate, as all proceeds will go to a good cause.”
