November trial for alleged people traffickers

TWO Cameroonians will be tried by jury in November for causing the deaths of up to 30 people including seven babies.

They were bringing in illegal immigrants by sea last December and the Almeria Public Prosecutor must now determine how many people were killed as a direct result of their actions.

Others could have died because of the ‘complicated’ maritime conditions, the examining judge said.
