ARGENTINIAN police have made five arrests and searched 12 homes as part of investigations into the death, 16 months ago, of Domingo Exposito from Fuengirola.
The arrests have been made in Comodoro-Rivadavia in the Chubut Province where the 31-year-old man was shot dead by a masked gunman in June 2014, just days before he was due to fly back to Spain with his six-year-old daughter.
The deceased’s girlfriend, Carolina Gayá, who was with him when he was killed, explained after the murder than she was convinced he had been killed to stop him taking his daughter, whose custody he had won after her mother had fled Spain with her, back to Fuengirola.
Manuel Huertas, the victim’s family’s lawyer, stated that the girl’s mother and her current partner are amongst suspects under investigation.
