Mysterious alleged shooting in Puerto Banus

A DUTCH 40-year-old man has allegedly been involved in a shooting in Puerto Banus (Marbella).

National Police are currently investigating the events after the man attended the Costa del Sol Hospital emergency room last week with signs of being intoxicated, according to police. He presented a bullet wound on his right hand. Medical staff hospitalised him and had to persuade the man to stay as he insisted in leaving.

On arrival, National Police enquired about the shooting but the man only spoke of a fight in Puerto Banus, without giving any more details and refused to cooperate further with authorities.

Police have dismissed any possibility of a connection between this case and other shootings registered during the past weeks in the Costa del Sol.
