2015: After 40 years, the sporty classic is still going strong.
ALTHOUGH they have sold over 14 million BMW Series 3 cars in their 40-year history, the company has just delivered its 10 millionth Series 3 Sedan, which has been purchased by a driving school in Germany.
The success story began in 1975 when the BMW 3 Series was premiered at the IAA Car Show as the start of the line of sporty, mid-range vehicles and it is now BMW’s best seller.
Since then, this international bestseller has established itself as a pacesetter for the industry in terms of sportiness, efficiency, comfort, connectivity and design and has adapted to meet modern requirements both in safety and comfort.
