ROMAN THEATRE: one of the sights all the journalists will be visiting

JOURNALISTS from Germany, Russia, Turkey, Argentina and the US will be visiting the area this month to discover what Malaga has to offer for their readers.

Familiarisation trips organised in collaboration with Malaga City’s Tourism Department, considered an excellent way of promoting the destination by reaching a large number of prospective visitors to the coast, are the city’s latest way of attracting tourists.

Media sending reporters this month include MK Region, Komsomolskaya Pravda, Bolshaya Moskva and Novyi Vzglyad from Russia, Motorradmagazin from Austria, a specialist LGTB blog from Los Angeles, Turkish television series, ‘Travelling Around the World’, Bazar TV from Argentina and Spiegel, Deutsche Wellw, Vogue, Hessischer Runfunk and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung from Germany.

Klaus Englert, author of the book, ‘New Museums in Spain,’ will be joining the German visitors.

Specific programmes have been organised by the Tourism Department for each group, though all the visits will include tours of the cathedral, the Picasso Museum, the Carmen Thyssen museum, the Alcazaba, Roman Theatre, the Pompidou Centre and the Russian Museum.
