Man charged after bungled antenna theft attempt in Guadiaro

THE Guardia Civil has charged a man for allegedly trying to steal a TV antenna from the roof of a house in Guadiaro.

The tenant called the police after hearing noises from the roof and going outside to find a ladder and a man trying to pull the antenna off. The suspect, who ran away when spotted, confessed when he was later caught by patrolling policemen who were surprised to see him run away when he saw their car.
