VOLUNTEERS: The Salvation Army is involved in charitable works worldwide.
BARBARA and Dieter Zimmerer are extending a warm welcome to the general public to join them at 6pm on October 24, at Camp Saron located at Pta Torre Corrals 64-65, Denia, to meet one of the most successful Christian and charitable organisations.
A movement started by William Booth who wanted to help the down and out, he later went on to form his own church now known as The Salvation Army. This charitable organisation takes care of homeless, handicapped, alcohol and drug abused, provides relief assistance wherever there is a disaster and provides AIDS prevention, among some of its important works.
At the 30th anniversary of Camp Saron, under the leadership of The Salvation Army, there will be a celebration in honour of the donor of Camp Saron, Vicente Tous Pastor.
At 6pm there will be a Benefit Concert by Big Jack’s Rhythm and Blues Band.
Donations are welcomed and will be used for the furthering of Camp Saron, which has been a great blessing to thousands of people over the years. For those who would like to attend please call Barbara on 652 319 810 or 96 578 2152.
