THE new mayor of Ondara and Internal Medical Resident (MIR) at the Javea Health Centre, Zeus Serrano, along with the nursing coordinator at the Health Centre in Ondara, Xaro Pons, gave a talk on Wednesday, September 30 in which they addressed the main ways in which people can prevent future heart problems.
The meeting was attended by many residents of Ondara and was held at the cultural centre. The event coincided with the World Heart Day; the world’s biggest intervention against cardiovascular disease (CVD).
The focus of World Heart Day is on creating healthy heart environments by ensuring that everyone has the chance to make healthy heart choices wherever they live, work and play. World Heart Day encourages people to reduce cardiovascular risk, and promotes a heart-healthy planet for those around us.
