ALCUDIA Town Hall will request a report on the financial impact of the Ironman triathlon held in the town recently.
The event, organised by Thomas Cook, is estimated to have brought around €10 million to the area.
The director of the triathlon, David Thompson, explained that 2,500 athletes of 57 nationalities took part this year and each one was accompanied by an average of 2.3 relatives, who stay for 10 days, on average, in Pollença, Alcudia, Muro and Can Picafort.
They normally stay in four-star hotels and spent around €100 per person per day.
