Council to fund health centre work

TIRED of waiting for funds to be provided, Casares council has decided to go ahead and fork out for much-needed improvements to the local health centre.

The council, Works Councillor Guzman Ahumada explained, has drawn up a project which has been presented to the regional government and the Costa del Sol health district and officially requested permission to carry out the work.

Improvements planned include extending the reception area, renovating bathrooms, renewing floors and electrical fittings and installing a new air-conditioning system, with a budget of €50,000.
