LOCAL POLICE in Velez-Malaga seized a total of 570 smuggled cigarette packs which were stored in a newsstand located in the town centre.
The events took place on Wednesday September 23 at around 9.30am when officers approached the stand and found the smuggled goods, valued at around €2,280. They had been brought from countries in East Europe and some of them had been brought all the way from China.
Officers found that these packets lacked the compulsory certificates which guarantee their legal origin, so all of them were confiscated.
