SENIOR residents can once again enjoy the handicraft workshops launched by the Mojacar Council with the aim of providing them with not only a pastime, but an activity that also improves their manual dexterity.
The workshops are free and will be held on Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm in the Centro de Usos Multiples near the fuente. This is an activity for anyone who wishes to learn how to make all kinds of craft items, many made with recycled materials, most of which can be used afterwards as decorative pieces around the house.
The course started on Thursday, September 17 but applications to join the course can still be made at Mojacar Town Hall although the number of places available is limited.
This is the second year that the Department of Culture has offered these workshops, due to the success of the previous year. Mojacar Council has been delighted to see how the local seniors have been keen to participate in the diverse range of activities offered to them.
