AN ADULT model and stripper, Amina Axelsson, has followed in the footsteps of Marbella anti-bullfighting activist Virginia Ruiz and taken to the sand of Marbella’s bullring in protest on behalf of PETA UK.
Although quickly escorted out of the ring before she could approach the dying bull, the activist, who lives in Marbella with her husband, later said she was glad she had had the guts to carry out her protest, planned with and filmed by a like-minded vet.
“No animal should have to face an agonising, needless death for the amusement of a crowd. I’m joining with PETA to urge caring people everywhere to end these bloody, internationally condemned events by never patronising bullfights,” Amina said.
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) group, which recently congratulated Ms Ruiz on her leap into Malaga bullring to hug and console a dying bull, has called for people to sign a petition to Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy asking him to ban bullfights.
