Second Mijas shooting in one week

A THIRTY-year-old man was killed at 11.30am this Thursday morning (September 24), the second shot dead in the area in a week.

The body was found on the Angel de Miraflores urbanisation with at least three bullet wounds, emergency services have reported. Guardia Civil and ambulance teams were sent to the scene but sadly nothing could be done to save the man’s life.

The Guardia Civil is searching for the culprit, who allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle.

Just one week ago another 30-year-old man from Colombia was shot to death in his wife’s car on Camino de Campanales in Mijas Costa’s Las Cañadas district. Investigators believe the crime could be drug-related.
