MOTRIL Local Police have arrested a 37-year-old man who was allegedly carrying 65 kg of custard-apples in his car which he had stolen from a nearby field.
Officers found the man after being alerted to the theft in the north of Motril. The suspect was also accompanied by a woman. After checking with the 092 office of the Local Police, officers found the man had a restraining order issued by a judge which prevented him from going near the woman.
During the detention, the man attempted to flee the scene but was caught shortly afterwards. He was then taken into custody.
