AN ENGLISHWOMAN, 60, was rescued by firemen and Guardia Civil after breaking her leg while hiking with her daughter in Valldemossa.
They alerted the emergency services after her fall in a difficult to access area on the Cami de s’Arxiduc.
The Guardia Civil helicopter was flown to the area, but the woman suffered a panic attack and refused to get on board. Therefore, the firemen’s mountain rescue team had to carry her to an area which could be accessed by an ambulance which took her to Son Espases Hospital.
