La Mafia Italian Restaurant

TO experience traditional Italian cuisine while surrounded by the grandeur of Italian decor is quite a breathtaking and memorable event, which is exactly the kind of reaction ‘La Mafia’ Restaurant wishes to receive from their diners.

This incredibly elegant restaurant situated in the heart of Marbella opened its doors only six months ago as part of a rapidly growing company that was born in 2000. Such has been the success of this amazing new concept for elegant dining, that La Mafia only operates in major cities and prime locations due to the demand for this standard of venue.

The restaurant is prominently themed and inspired by the film ‘El Padrino’ (The Godfather) as the decor stands proud with gilt picture frames, chandeliers, silver wear, and elegant table linen. To complete the theme throughout names of the Carleone family, including Vito (Marlon Brando) The Godfather himself are inscribed in gold upon the walls and chairs of the restaurant.

The Mafia theme has attracted attention along with the exquisite cuisine that is created in the traditional way by generations past. The dishes are lovingly prepared to reach the hearts of the diners with tempting combinations that include an array of risottos made with the finest bacon, prawns, and seasonal vegetables, macaroni and pasta dishes made using classic recipes, all freshly prepared daily in the kitchen.

There are speciality sauces and many succulent salads that you not only eat with the mouth but the eyes too, due to the excellent presentation. There are also dishes designed for sharing so that romantics can be lost in the food and ambience at La Mafia, or for parents who wish to relax away from the children, there is a monitored playroom on the upper floor of the restaurant where they can play as the adults eat.

Although elegant, the homely feel still remains, the balance is right, and the variations on the menu also a good balance of the individual budget. On Tuesdays you can enjoy p a s t a dishes for as little as €9.00 and on Wednesdays you can check out the deliciously enormous pizzas for only €9.00 too.

There is a children’s menu that has the quality but not the quantity at good value for money, so you can make it a family affair at a competitive price, eating good food at a good price.

La Mafia is an ideal place to meet up and share some of the finest wines; the menu has a good choice at good prices, and well worth sharing with friends for an evening at this central location.

José and his staff offer an attentive service at the front of the restaurant, so special requests can be attended to. The large terrace that flows out from the gilt and glass frontage seats up to 50 people and the interior can seat 160 diners.

The well stocked bar is on the lower floor joining two separate areas that are ideal for intimate dining, and the neon lit staircase leads up to the most amazing dining area that oozes class and comfort.

The company will celebrate their 15th anniversary this September as they have now successfully operated 34 restaurants around Spain and there are plans for further expansion in Europe.
