THE skeletal remains found in Cala Tia Roqueta, Torrevieja, wrapped in woman’s clothes, are that of an animal.

Initial investigations and analysis of the remains have confirmed they are not human.

Police divers were deployed to recover the remains after a diver reported the sighting and believed they may have been human as they were wrapped in clothing. Three bags with bone fragments, a robe and belt were recovered by a marine patrol and brought to shore.

There is a cave nearby to the cove used as a homeless shelter, which police believe may have had something to do with the case.
