LA HERRADURA’S diving scene is growing at a high speed as it holds an important training course. The Mediterranean Centre of Granada University will celebrate for the first time a course in La Herradura on ‘Scientific diving techniques’. The course will start next weekend at the sports centre in La Herradura and the diving centre ‘Openwater’, also in the Almuñecar district. The course will be conducted by expert biologist and diver Felix Hidalgo Puertas, and will approach diving through a scientific, archaeological and preservation perspective. With this training, researchers are expected to improve general physical diving skills and learn specific techniques which will aid them when carrying out underwater investigations.
