ALL 25 of Malaga city’s driving examiners on duty on Monday (September 14) joined in a national three hour strike called by their trade union to demand better working conditions.
The strike, called all over the country for examiners and DGT traffic authority workers, left around 150 learners in Malaga unable to take their driving exams.
Examiners are calling for a change in the rules regarding when results are given as they report feeling unsafe at times when forced to fail learners on the spot, and they have also requested reductions to their workload.
Manuel Augusto Fernandez, head of the strike committee, said that if the traffic authority does not take note of their requests they will be forced to hold a complete day-long strike.
