BENALMADENA council is handing a plot of land over to the Junta de Andalucia regional government for a new secondary school to be built in the Retamar area.
Mayor Victor Navas and Education Councillor Elena Galan announced the new project and informed that the land has been seen by the Junta’s Education delegate, Patricia Alba, who appeared to approve of the plot.
Once the Junta agrees to take over the land and approves the project, it will be put out to public tender, the mayor explained.
Benalmadena, Galan said, is at the top of the Junta’s list of areas which need more schools due to its recent growth and high demand for schooling.
