MORE than 11,000 people have applied for 817 temporary part-time jobs Malaga City announced as part of a regional government employment scheme.
This year the council hopes to get through the selection process as quickly as possible and have the chosen 817, who will be given three month contracts, working by December 1.
The lucky candidates will be paid about €600 per month for three hours work per day doing weeding, painting and other maintenance tasks around the city.
