Speeding driver arrested thanks to video

A MALAGA City driver has been arrested for an offence against road safety after a video was posted on the internet showing him doing more than double the speed limit.

The National Police force began investigations after the 24-second video, showing a car with four people inside driving at 184 kilometres per hour, was posted on a popular social media website.

The stretch of road was identified as the A7 motorway between the city and Rincon de la Victoria, which has an 80 kmph speed limit, and the four people (one of whom has also been fined for not wearing his seatbelt) were easily identified, the police force reported.
