Malaga airport has registered its best August ever

MALAGA-Costa del Sol airport has registered its best month of August ever with more than 1.7 million passengers registered, AENA airport authority has announced.

The airport was particularly popular with passengers from the UK (593,093) followed by Germany (147,922) and France (126,532), and of the total, 1,486,691 people flew to or from a city abroad while 245,915 travelled to or from another part of Spain, AENA reported.

So far this year, 9,883,472 passengers have travelled through the airport, 4.4 per cent more than in the same time period last year.
