New sports centre inaugurated in Motril

A NEW sports centre called Up Motril has opened up in the town and has some of the most modern facilities of the Costa Tropical with more than 6,000 square metres.

Mayor of Motril, Flor Almon, presided over the inauguration event located in the area of Fabrica del Pilar.

“With the support of the council to this private project, we aimed at boosting the economic development of the town,” said the mayor, who continued: “Thanks to this, the new centre has generated 40 new jobs and promoted a sector which currently experiences a great upturn.”
